Hi All,
I am new to ROR and my interpretation might be wrong but this is what i concluded anybody please clear the things out.
Bluehost now has 2.3.2 version of rails and run rails via fastcgi support.
Now with rails 2.3.2 the support for fastcgi will be deprecated so that means we will not be able to host ror (ruby on rails ) applications on bluehost anymore.

Somebody please enlighten me.
Thanks
Saurabh

Rails 2.3 uses Rack. Rack has a fastcgi-handler itself, that's why Rails doesn't implement it's own anymore.
ReplyDeletebluehost has never really been a *good* provider for rails. dreamhost has mod_rails they might work.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, you *can* use fastcgi + rack [ and hence, plus rails ] and bluehost does work [if you go through some contortions] google for it
